Lite Salalah (3 Nights - 4 Days) City, Frankincense & Heritage

Day 1: Arrival transfer from Salalah Airport to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: City tour half-day (4 hours) – After breakfast, enjoy a variety of old and modern cultural highlights of Oman’s Dhofar region. First, drive to the Mosque of Sultan Qaboos, then pass through the coconut, banana, and papaya plantations before visiting Al Baleed Museum for an introduction to the history and culture of Dhofar. Stop for a photo at the Old Sultan Palace. Visit the frankincense souk, where frankincense, Dhofar traditional clothes, crafts, and cosmetics are available. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: East & West Salalah full-day tour (8 hours) – After breakfast, visit the old fishing village of Taqah and the century-old Taqah Castle. Continue to the ancient ruins of the once-famous city of Sumharam (Khor Rori). Then proceed to Wadi Darbat, known for its famous waterfalls. On the way back to western Salalah, explore the natural spring of Ain Razat. Continue to Qara Mountains to explore the western part of Salalah and visit Mughsail Beach, where white sand meets the deep blue ocean. At high tide, waves burst through the natural blowholes at the far end of the rocky beach, with a cave-like entrance. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Departure transfer from the hotel to Salalah Airport.

Day 5: Return from the Desert
Enjoy the sunrise and breakfast at the desert camp before heading to Wadi Doka, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site known for its over seven thousand frankincense trees. If lucky, you may encounter Bedouins and black camels. Drive back to Salalah and check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Full-Day Jabal Safari (8 Hours)
After breakfast, depart on a full-day safari into the Dhofar Mountains. Drive through the scenic village of Taqah, stopping for a panoramic view from the Taqah Plateau. Visit one of the world’s largest sinkholes at Tawi Attair, also known as the “Well of Birds.” Continue into the Jebel Samhan mountain range to a breathtaking plateau at nearly 1,300 meters. Visit Tiq Cave, commonly referred to as the “Grand Canyon of Dhofar,” offering stunning views of the east coast and the Qamar mountain range. Then, drive into the lush Wadi Darbat for a relaxing stroll along the riverbed, surrounded by camels, goats, and cattle. During the Khareef (monsoon) season, witness an almost 100-meter waterfall flowing into lakes and green vegetation. Return to Salalah and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Free Day at Leisure
Enjoy a free day at the hotel to relax or explore at your own pace.

Day 8: Departure
Transfer from the hotel to Salalah Airport.
